This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Ventura is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Ventura follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Rice by Mama is one of those spots that just sticks with you. Back when I had my office downtown, it was in my regular lunch rotation, and for good reason. The food is consistently flavorful, comforting, and hits that perfect balance between quality and portion size. Their dishes have that homemade feelβeverything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. Itβs the kind of place where you find yourself craving specific meals days later. On top of that, the service is always quick and friendly, which made it an easy go-to during busy workdays. Even now, itβs a spot I still think about and would gladly go out of my way for. If youβre looking for solid, satisfying food that never disappoints, Rice by Mama is definitely worth checking out.

The food was very delicious, and the restaurant was very clean. Even the restroom was spotless. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We were just passing through the city and decided to stop at a restaurant, and Iβm so glad we chose this one. It turned out to be a great choice. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant.

I recently visited a Thai restaurant, and the experience was so delightful that it deserves a full review. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere filled with the gentle aroma of fresh herbs and spices. The interior was simple yet tasteful, with soft lighting, clean dΓ©cor, and relaxing background music that created a comfortable setting for both a casual lunch and a peaceful dinner. For my meal, I ordered shrimp, soup, and rice β a classic combination, but here it was prepared on a completely different level. The shrimp were large, fresh, and perfectly cooked, with a slight crispness on the outside and tender texture inside. They were served with a flavorful sauce that blended sweetness, acidity, and a mild heat, creating a beautiful balance that elevated each bite. The soup was another highlight of the meal. Rich, aromatic, and full of depth, it carried delicate notes of lemongrass, coconut, and Thai spices. The broth was smooth and comforting, while the vegetables remained fresh and vibrant. Every spoonful felt warm and satisfying, leaving a pleasant aftertaste that stayed with me long after I finished. The rice was served perfectly cooked β f

Freaking AMAZING place. Wonderful food, service, drinks and atmosphere. We come here somewhat frequently. Have had a bunch of their dishes and not ove of them has disappointed. The Thai Tea is also super bomb, with just the right amount of sweetness and perfectly cooked Boba. 10 out of 10 would reccomend!
